The Marienberg Abbey (S. Benedetto di Norcia Abbey) is located in Upper val Venosta valley high above Burgusio - Burgeis. The origins of the abbey lie in the nearby little Church of St. Stephen, which itself dates back to the 6th century, making it one of the oldest churches in continental Europe.
